Leadership Development
Leadership Development grew out of a simple question we asked our students: "What would you do if you knew your voice could reach the world?" This program invites youth to answer that question with courage, curiosity, and action. We bring young people from different countries into shared spaces-often virtually-so they can learn from one another and see themselves as part of a global community of emerging leaders.
Participants explore real-world issues that matter to them: education, equity, environment, community safety, girls' rights, and more. Through guided workshops, they practice public speaking, active listening, and problem-solving, then immediately apply those skills in team projects with peers across borders. It is one thing to learn about leadership from a book; it is another to co-create a project with a teenager thousands of miles away and realize how much you share.
Cultural exchange is at the heart of this experience. Youth teach one another about their daily lives, traditions, and challenges. They swap songs, stories, and local sayings, discovering how culture shapes leadership styles and communication. As they present to one another and to invited guests, they begin to see themselves as ambassadors-of their families, their communities, and their generation.
Our Leadership Development program includes small-group mentoring, interactive sessions with guest leaders, and opportunities for students to design and lead their own mini-initiatives at school or in their neighborhoods. Some cohorts end their journey with a virtual or in-person gathering that feels like a global family reunion, filled with reflections, commitments, and the sense that something new has begun.
We created this pathway for youth who are ready to move from "I care" to "I am ready to lead." With each cohort, we watch students step into their gifts, build confidence across cultures, and carry forward a deeper understanding that leadership is not just a role-it is an act of love in action.
